United States-based universities and colleges are eligible to apply NCIIA provides support for E-Teams (collaborating groups of college students, faculty and industry mentors) to bring innovative technology products and services from idea to prototype, and eventually to market.

Strong E-Team grant proposals demonstrate an idea’s technical feasibility, social value, and a strong potential for commercialization. Funded E-Teams have launched over 70 ventures, manufacturing and selling products in many industries, including wireless technology, medical devices, alternative energy, construction, safety and transport.
